Over the years, the International Water Mist Conference (IWMC) has established itself as THE water mist event worldwide. The community gathers once a year to exchange knowledge and to report on scientific findings as well as on projects on land, off shore and even in space. In 2018, all will come together in London.
The 18th IWMC will take place on 19th and 20th September 2018. Venue will be The Grange City Hotel. On 15th January, the International Water Mist Association (IWMA) will release the Call for Papers. The deadline to hand in abstracts will be 16th April.
From 15th January onwards, sponsors can start booking table tops for the exhibition which will run alongside the conference. On 15th May, IWMA will activate the conference webpage and notify the speakers about acceptance. The conference programme will be published on 2nd July. Two weeks later – on 16th July – the early bird period will end.
The deadline to hand in submissions for the “IWMA Young Talent Award” will be 30th April. In 2018, the award will once again go to the author of the best master thesis. The winner will be invited to London, IWMA will cover all costs. On top of that, there will be a prize money of 1,000.- Euros. The prize will be handed over by IWMA President Ragnar Wighus and Bert Yu, chairman of the IWMA Scientific Council.
On 15th April 2018, IWMA will celebrate its 20th anniversary. To celebrate this day, the organization is currently planning a charity event to collect money for a good cause and will report on the details in London.
