NEBOSH will also be teaming up with the Health and Safety Executive to host two interactive sessions as part of the exhibition. Head of Strategy Matthew Powell-Howard will be joining the HSE on 28 April to present ‘Give PEACE a chance’. This interactive Q & A session will explore the use of the P.E.A.C.E. model in incident investigation and the principles of what good witness interviews look like. It will also explore the concept of bias, and how to deal with difficult interviewees.
On 29 April NEBOSH and HSE will collaborate again on ‘Achieving Health and Safety Leadership Excellence in the Workplace’ based on the jointly developed NEBOSH HSE Health and Safety Leadership Qualification. Matt commented: “Together we’ll introduce some of the key values associated with health and safety leadership excellence and answer audience questions. Our aim is for everyone to leave our session with ideas and inspiration to positively influence health and safety back in their own workplace.”
Matthew will also be taking part in a panel discussion on ‘Promoting health and wellbeing at work’ on 28 April in the Knowledge Exchange Theatre. This session will share best practices on how to raise awareness about the importance of promoting health and wellbeing at work.
