Iron Age Footwear continues its partnership and proud support of young American trade workers through its three-plus year partnership with SkillsUSA. In addition to its support of various SkillsUSA initiatives and chapters throughout the year, Iron Age is particularly proud to have been on the feet of over a dozen representatives of the USA World SkillsTeam as they competed August 22-27 in Russia against the best young trade workers from around the world.
With 53 state and territorial associations across 18,000 classrooms reaching 427,000 young future trade workers annually, SkillsUSA helps instructors to reach and engage their students for trade success in over 130 trade job categories.
Iron Age has been rewarding, supporting, and encouraging SkillsUSA competitors from across the nation for years in fields such as Welding, Welding Fabrication, TeamWorks, Plumbing, HVAC, and Masonry. Over $25,000 in sponsorships, awards and prizes have been given to invest in the future of American trade workers by the hardworking footwear brand that finds its origins helping iron tradesmen build some of America’s most iconic buildings, ships and infrastructure.

WorldSkills International is made of 77 member countries and regions. This year’s competition took place in Kazan, Russia.
