A construction worker was killed Sunday in an accident at a building site in Ramat Hasharon, which was ordered closed immediately after the accident. The man, 30, was declared dead at the scene by Magen David paramedics after a heavy object fell on him.
This is the 18th fatality at a construction site this year.
The accident in Ramat Hasharon occurred when a formwork, a mold into which concrete is poured, fell and struck the man. The construction site belongs to El Har Engineering and Construction, a company owned by the Kardan Group.
Two more accidents occurred at building sites on Sunday, injuring two construction workers, one near Modi’in where a worker was moderately injured in a fall, and the other in Jerusalem, where a construction worker in his fifties was moderately injured when a wall fell on him.
